    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my Hub Publishing my first book - following my dream! What can I do to improve?

I did rename some of the capsules, and removed reference to my website, but I am open to any suggestion you can offer.

    Thanks!

    Ant

We cannot see it unless you provide a link to your hub.

Strange...the template email did contain a link and when I tried to submit, it didn't allow me to because of it.
    However, here it goes:

    Cheers,

There are two problems with this hub - one is that it is over-promotional.  Since you start straight out with a large quote from the book, have big images of the book, etc., it looks like the only function of this hub is to sell your book. You have to be much more subtle. Maybe a how to - I wrote a book and you can to - would work better for you.  A lot of people have written those types of hubs, so maybe you can choose a specific aspect, that thoroughly shows something you learned while going through the process, like how to find a publisher, should you hire an editor? etc.

Also, this hub is very blog-like. It seems like a first person account of your progress, which is more like a diary, and not something that is a high quality article that will be useful to others.

      Hi Millionaire Tips,
Thanks for your feedback. Point duly taken, and perhaps you are right in the promotional bit - I think, one way or another, when we get to this stage we end up falling into that trap, willingly or not .
Maybe following the trend of my travel hubs, I did want to share my experience as to how and why i wrote this book and it has ended up more like a personal diary. I will wait on any further feedback and take into consideration your points when I look to make any amendments on it.
Thanks again for your comments. It's feedback like this that helps one to improve.
