featured hubs

   Will somebody address my concern. I have written plenty of Hubs that were featured for some time. When I looked into my account, I have noticed that those hubs are no longer categorized as Featured. I have made Featured Hubs. Why is that?

      Have you looked at your hub list?   There should be icons next to the hubs which will show you why the hubs are no longer featured.   The most common icon is lack of traffic.
      
      If you edit your hubs, they will often be featured again.

         Yes, but unless you make major changes, they'll go back again, especially if they were unfeatured for traffic because only search engine traffic counts.

               It takes about 6 months to get the unfeatured status. I believe relying solely on traffic is miss guided. A good content hub should stand on its own. Just because not too many search and find it does not mean the information contained is useless or of poor quality.

      It is common knowledge that HubPages use an automatic quality assessment process that includes counting traffic to a hub. After 6 months of being "featured" and with low traffic, a hub will automatically be un-featured, regardless of quality. I have found that by making a simple edit to the hub, and save, the hub will be featured again after 24 hours. This has been debated here in the Hubber community for some time. Many of us believe the automatic process of un-featuring hubs due to lack of traffic is an annoying feature. Others believe it is one of the way to keep the quality of HubPages on a high level. I hope this help you understand a bit.

   moli9, I know you didn't ask for advice, but I took a look at your featured hubs and it looks like you are a good writer with good information.  I would recommend that you add at least one relevant picture to your hubs so that the site doesn't use a stock picture. Here's  a how-to guide:

   I would also recommend that you break up your paragraphs into separate capsules, and put a subtitle for each paragraph.  These things will help keep readers on the hub and let them skim to get to the information they want. If readers stay longer, then the search engines will like the hub better too, hopefully bringing you more traffic.
   
   Making the hub longer by adding more details and information will also probably be helpful, but only as long as you don't add more words just to pad the article.

   You can edit it, and it will certainly be featured again, as it once was. Or, you can do what I do more often than not - put the thing on a blogger blog where it can live forever.
   
   Sometimes a subject just isn't so interesting to the masses. It doesn't mean your page was bad, wasn't quality writing or web page building. It might just be the subject wasn't appealing to the hordes out there.
   
   while I'm not the guy making big bucks here, I am sure that the key to anyone's success is figuring out what topics you can write about that people also want to read about.
   
   I've not looked at your stuff. But I see what Millionaire Tips is saying to you, and what that person is saying is good as gold, so far as my experience here tells me.
