Hello All,
My article isn't approved, even though the content is original. Can anybody tell me the guidelines of an article? I mean to say content length, number of links, image rule in article etc
The requirements are lengthy. What you need to do is click on "help" above and then click on "the learning center". There you will find answers to just about any question you may have.
Being original is just one criteria. There are numerous others. Here is a brief overview
correct in terms of grammar, spelling and structure,
1000 words or longer
title must match the content
quality images that match the topic and are properly accredited
should be divided into capsules, the titles of which should progress in logical order and "tell the story"
may not cover certain topics such as gambling and drugs
I suggest you take the time to read some of the articles that have already been published on the niche sites to see how other writers have set up their hubs.
Your goal is not only to be featured but to have your work moved to a niche site because that is where you will have your best chance to earn.
Good luck!
1000 words or longer - Is it compulsory? Because My article length was 600 words, and even not added any link to the article.
I think it was rejected due to article length
If you want to become featured and eventually start earning, 1000 words is about the minimum you should have. 600 is far too short.
Hi there, welcome,
When you say 'original', you mean it hasn't been published elsewhere? I ask because you just joined a couple of hours ago and have already published an article. If it has appeared elsewhere on the web, regardless of whether you wrote it, it cannot be reproduced here.
It's always a good idea to spend some time on research before leaping in. Otherwise you might find you have wasted your time.
Besides the advice that Timetraveller has given, hubs cannot be promotional or link to other sites without good reason.

I have tried it through different mail Id before 1 month ago. Now I have used fresh ID
When you are in the Editing phase of your article you'll see some helpful info in the upper right. 700 words would probably be the minimum, but it recommends 1250+. Also, 3 pictures and a couple other capsules.
You can request that we look at it and maybe we could give you some commentary on it.
I thought there was something 'off' about your profile, so I pasted it into Google. It seems copied word for word from someone's profile on another site. Completely different name and image. Your profile picture, too, seems to belong to someone else on that site.
And then at the bottom of that profile is a comment by yet another person that is word-for-word the same as you left on someone's hub today.
It's all a bit suspicious and spammy. If you are trying to create a circle of links, or content, or something, then Hubpages is not the right place for you. This is a writers' site, not a business marketing site.

Hi there,I was preparing a hub for publishing. After I finished my article, it has slightly more than 2000 words in total. So my question is, whether this article has the potential for getting more traffic or not?

I understand why HB likes longer articles, and on some subjects it's easy to reach 700, 800, or more words. Sometimes though, I say everything I want to say on a topic and I'm done at between 450 and 600 words. Trying to add more text to reach the recommended minimum of 700 makes the hub look......

In their teachings on writing stellar hubs, the HubPages staff has sometimes said that an ideal hub is 1,500 words long and has sometimes said that an ideal hub is 1,150 words long. Numerous hubs by hubbers on hubbing have recommended that a hub should be at least circa 400 to 500 words long, at...

I was just wondering what people's take on article length is. Do you make a point of including as much info as possible in your article going for longer length or if you can cover it decently in a shorter length do you prefer to stick with that? I'm seeing some articles that are well...

Dear all, HubPages is telling me that my article is too short. Its 950 words and many of my previously published articles were that long or shorter. Any ideas?

I just realized there is a forum section where I can ask this!I am brand new to Hub Pages, and I got a "duplicate" warning on my very first article I submitted. In the past I have always made a point of publishing my content in various places, to make it more accessible to a wider range of...
