I have gone a day without talking. I was at home and was taking a day to myself. I shut the phones off, and read all day. I didnt speak to anyone or myself... lol...
i always take a
maun vraet (means a day without opening a mouth at once for 24 hours) once at every 2 week.
it affects my mind to remain purified for other tasks.
it should be very hard for starters but affect in good ways to improve our mind & nature ,
it makes our to remain away from bad thoughts.
Yes I have or sometimes half a day.
Its a good thing. Its also good for reflection.
When you do it, your internal dialogue will begin to quieten and then you experience a certain stillness.
Stillness is the potentiality for creativity. I think its a healthy practice especially if your surrounded by nature.
There is a day called, The Day of Silence, and it is a day to raise awareness and support for gays and lesbians. I am straight but I have several good friends who are gay and therefore I have participated in the Day of Silence for the past three years. It is HARD not talking for a whole day. I am really talkative person and it is painful to have people talking to you without being able to respond.

What descriptive words would YOU use to describe 3AM without using the actual time?3AM conjures up so many things to many people. For some, it is just time, no more no less. For others, it is a time of stillness and for a few, it is THAT TIME, the time of beckoning and FEAR where ALL...

Wow! Something amazing has happened over night! Nearly all my hubs have red up arrows next to them. Ones that were getting 200 views a day have gone up to 700 views. My normal range of page views in a day for all my hubs is around 800, now the figure is 2,400! I'm very happy about this but is it a...

How to trust God in difficult times?Sometimes, when things get tough, it is quite easy to lose your faith in the one Supreme Being. Have you ever gone through such times? How did you manage to keep your faith in God?
