Your answer to the question about communicating to people over 65 is very interesting.
I'd love to see a hub from you with more detailed information about your views.
As a member of the over 65 club i can share some insite on the subject. I am not the A-typical over 65 as i still work and I am active in the community. What I can share with you is what this generation thinks like.
When people reach the age of 65 today they are faced with the chalange of continuing their life style on a reduced income. When you have been making $2000 or more per month and suddenly you have to survive on less than $1500 per month your thought process changes.
You are no longer living in a materialistic mind set, but rather a survival mindset. While the price of everything around you is rising, you remain stagnate in your income.
You are no longer talking about vacations and new cars, now you wonder if you will have enough to make the utilities, house payment(rent), and food on the table. That trip to see the grand kids is put on hold until the price of gas comes down.
So when you talk to senior citizens is it any wonder they have a different outlook on life than the younger generations. They have been where you are headed, They have seen what you have yet to see, they have made the mistakes you are going to make.
If I were you I would listen to what they say and maybe you will not have to experience the same mistakes. My daughter would always get angry with her mother because she would always be right about the way things would turn out if she did things her own way.She would say I want to learn from the experience, now she just says,"I'll do it your way'"

To begin with I think that the "older" people are to be listened to. Not always "followed" though! My grandmother used to say (the following is translated): "The wise man learns from another's mistakes, the smart man learns from his own mistakes and the fool never learns at all."
I cannot go much more into this because I shall write something on this subject in greater detail soon but the point would be to not do the same things as our parents/grandparents because the world and humanity as they are now are in a deplorable state of decay in all senses of the word (all this considering our possibilities).
great dialogue guys. please keep it coming, this group is really interested and doesn't know how to go about getting it, thus their request to me.

Help with a Hub: A question about God's omniscience and omnibenevolence.I'm writing a hub about the following question and other perspectives would be very helpful:If God is omniscient (all-knowing) and omnibenevolent (all-loving), then why does He create souls that he knows will burn in Hell? To...

In our most recent product review lenses, the Amazon product was the featured intro. photo. Can we continue to use those Amazon product images as our introduction photo or do we need to change them?

So, I understand that the question-answer section is to inspire hubs, BUT it feels a little disingenuous to use the information everyone provided, especially when that information would fit nicely in a list. I asked a question about recipes and received lots of great replies. How do I make a...

I have noticed that most of the questions I get are from one article. Those questions are piling up. Most are very specific and can not be answered by reading the article. That being said, do too many questions attached to one article hurt that article? I feel like too many comments dragged an...
