   We don't think there's really a useless subject taught in school. But we'd like to see schools put more emphasis on writing skills, public speaking, and critical thinking.
   
   If you had to take away certain requirements, we'd say math beyond Algebra 2 should be an elective and not pushed on students. The ability to write, speak and think critically will put most job applicants at the front of the line.

   While writing,speaking and critical thinking are important, don't forget about the emotional quotient. Schools need to emphasize on moral values. Yes it's very basic, taught since kindergarten.
   For a useless subject? There's none, it just happen that they are teaching that subject to a wrong individual.

   Gym is necessiary and should be required for a longer period of time, all you have to do is look at the American population to find that Americans are overweight and clearly need to learn the importance of healthy eating and the importance of excercise.  There also needs to be educaiton beyond simply Algebra II.  The American education system is becoming stagnent and more so because school systems are allowing students to continually decrease their education, math is a key to understnading the universe, and should not be stopped at an early age, not requiring it could stop people from discovering that they do actually like the subject, a deemphisis on math and science is the reason that the United States is falling behind on the world in scientific world.  We also should not force morality on the children of the nation through the public school system.  If morality is a desired trait then there are private schools that provide for that education.  Instead schoools should provide a balenced philosophical education allowing the children to choose their own moral foundation.  Instead of looking to what classes can be cut from school we should instead look to what we can do to further education.

   I guess it varies from person to person, but for me, Science or Gym were two of the most useless subjects.
