   WHY IS IT THAT THE POLITICIANS IN WASHINGTON REGARD PROFITS MADE BY BUSINESS AS A BAD THING.
   
   WHEN THE POLITICIANS WERE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE WINDFULL PROFITS THAT THE OIL COMPANIES WERE MAKING, THE POLITICIANS  DIDN'T TELL THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HOW MUCH THE TREASURY GOT OF THOSE PROFITS.MAYBE 50% OR MORE ?

   In the current climate in DC, Barry needs someone to demonize and businessmen are an easy target. He never points out that they had to spend money and take risks of loss in order to finally be successful. He would rather steal their profits by way of taxes, and blame them for all our woes. If he can, he wants to convince people that we NEED government to take care of everything for us--cradle to grave.  Thereby, he increases and keeps HIS power. The sad thing is there are so many ignorant people out there willing to swallow anything he feeds them.

   If a business is ethical unlike these lending institutions that decided that allowing people to get loans that they clearly didn't qualify for ! Why should they be allowed to get bailouts?
   
   Then there are businesses that think they deserve 90 percent of what the company takes in,and their employees only deserve 10 percent.While those that invest in the company ,which by the way I personaly think workers should invest in and make a profit on their own work.It,certainly gives them an increased interest in the companies welfare as it includes them as partners,rather than simply a shallower "at will" relationship they may have now.

   why was or is exxon mobile getting billions of tax subsidy if its a private company, i think they might have changed that a bit now. but they were getting 18 billion subsidy. they say they dont like government but they do really, lots of mining companies get subsidies, and credit guarantees when working abroad. tax payer money goes into military training for foreign countries and aid and development aid which is really bribery to make a countries gov compliant and amenable to ones own industry. there's no such thing as private industry, gov and industry are interlocked. US space command says "protecting US investments overseas," so its all interlinked, military is the government paid for by the people.

   This isn't really a question so much as it is editorializing.
   
   But profits are never really regarded as the enemy. When people are getting rich by ripping the American people off, like many oil companies do, that's when politicians like to complain about it without actually doing anything to reverse the tide.
