Which is the counter culture? Free-Market and Capitalistic thoughts, or Socialism?

Recently i've noticed a lot of 'underground' writing that seems to be aimed at free-market beliefs and true-capitalist notions. I've personally written a lot about this (check out my stuff). From what I've learned in my high school classes, though, it seems like Socialist tendencies were the counter culture.

Which is the counter culture? Free Markets? or Socialism?

my personal guess is that nowadays the free-market thought is the underground. But not sure.

It depends on the day of the Week, I think free-market beliefs and true-capitalist notions have dibs on Friday and Wednesday.

Seriously, many people are starting to reevaluate the meaning of all of these terms and some are coming to the realization, that we have been fed a bunch of contrived BS. it is becoming apparent  to some, that no one system fits all.

    Both !

Since both, as Cultures, are "counter-natural" Systems of  Managing human Masses ...

In that while Free Market Capitalist System attempts at making the horse drink, the Socialist System, is nothing short of shoving grass, in, the wrong end ...

The heart of the issue, imho at least, is that, regardless of what style of government is in place, society is ALWAYS going to have the same stupid problems... poverty, racism, health care, war, (insert favorite social issue here), etc., etc.

These are not problems related to government, they are problems related to the "human condition". They have been in existence throughout our history, and it's been proven over and over again that no governmental system or program will ever be able to erradicate them.

Unfortunately, that never seems to stop people from thinking otherwise... as the grass is always greener. So, no matter what system is in place, or how well it might actually be working, there are always going to be those who think if we change it, things will get "better".

In terms of modern day U.S. politics... well, in the 50's, people used to get deported for admitting to being communists or socialists, now there are representatives in Congress who freely admit to being socialists... so... you're guess is as good as mine, lol.
