Being consistent is key. Write as often as possible.

Write about things you love as well as things that will draw the attention to your blogging.

Most importantly be yourself. Add your own personality to your blogs. People will love you (and hate you) for it.

As long as you meet all your personal goals I feel any blogger can be successful.

I think the single most important aspect of blogging is passion for your subject.  I have a blog about the environment which is my one true passion other than family.  My passion allows me to spend hours on the internet researching news, events, and other material pertaining to the environment.  I include photos, videos (if possible), links to additional information or anything else that will make my blog interesting to the reader while being accurate, informative and entertaining.  I like to feel that when someone spends time reading my blog, they are reading quality material.

Without my passion for the subject, I think my blog would be much less than it is.

I think that a keen interest in the subject is key. If you are interested in what you are blogging about it will show in your writing and others will also find it more interesting.

I try to stay true to what I am writing about, and if I am not knowledgeable about it I try to stay away. It is also good to keep in mind that you are writing for an audience, and an opportunity to build relationships or solidify those you already have is presented with every blog, so do capitalized on that, and most importantly have fun!! smile

Decide what you really want to achieve and accomplished with your blog and from there let your objective be the power of your content.  Your personal touch is very important, make your entries personal by speaking to your audience. Enhance your site rank in search engine. Offer helpful tips and links to other resources on the web and your readers will be more inclined to tell others about your blog. Use relevant key words to your bog to boost your blog chances of showing at search engine results.  Readers will keep on coming back to your blog if your entries are clear concise and compelling

First, you must have good knowledge of the things you are writing about. After that you have to post interesting content regularly. IT is also important to spend some time and increase the popularity of your blog. I think that it is also a good idea to use some widgets that allow visitor interaction, because that way you will allow your readers to contribute to your blog. Another thing that you can do is to allow guest posts, because that is one of the sure ways to get better rankings in Google.
Those are just the main things, because there are many small details that you should take care of. However, I think that once you manage to keep up with them, you will become a successful blogger for sure.
