How do I include a variable file name in a php include?

   How do I include a variable file name in a php include?
   
   What I really want to do is this:
   ".".php"); ?>
   (I know its not right).
   so that I can include a file named with the state abbreviation.php i.e. AL.php, GA.php etc.
   This allows me to include state specific data on the generic state page based on the state being called.
   How do I do this?
   Keep in mind that I am using Dreamweaver to generate the page since I do not have any programming ability  of my own so assume you are speaking to a neophite.

   I don't really understand the specifics of your question.
   But here is what I use, something like....
   
   [?php  include('http://www.mlm-reality.com/blah-blah.php');  ?]
   
   Replace the "[" and "]" with the angle brackets -- the "greater than" and "less than" signs.  They won't show, here.
   
   Rereading your question, never mind my answer above. Too lengthy to show how to get a variable from a box and put into a variable then construct a file name string from that.  Sorry.

   I need to include a variable file name instead of a fixed file name in the php include. Something like this:
   [?php include($state.".php"); ?]
   I know this is not right but what is the simplest way to put a variable file name in a php include. Thanks, lmvus.

   What you have done is correct. If the file you are including is not in the same directory, your $state variable will need to contain the path to your variable.
