Why do homosexual relationships seek acceptance in religions that by definition can't consider...
the matter instead of doing what Christians have been doing for thousands of years and start a new church when they disagree with the teachings of the one they are in?
Good question, perhaps it's because people never seem to accept what others think and try to turn them.
People join a church and are then dissatisfied and start trying to change things. Migrants are never satisfied with the host country and want to start introducing their laws and customs. They should go to a church that suits, or to a country that suits, quite easy really.
Well, I would have to say why shouldn't they seek acceptance within a church that they have possibly been brought up in? Why should they have to start a new church? How many divorced Catholics still consider themselves Catholic? I'm guessing there's quite a few. A lot of people want to belong to a religion and consider themselves part of it, even though they may 'break the rules' now and then. How many of us 'live in sin' at some stage of our lives? That would not have been considered acceptable by Christian standards thousands of years ago, but we consider it not so bad now. Should all the people who have had sex before marriage, gotten divorced or committed adultery have to go and start their own church too?
as a teen...i'm not one to really one to judge on life since i've barely lived it but i know for one thing that religion is not something that you have to conform 2 but it should be your lifestyle like being a journalist or a doctor or a lawyer...when you have a deadline for a book...you don't whine about it and give up on it and start a new book..you work towards completing it so why can't religion be considered like that 2?
ps. Why is it that homosexuals have a problem with ppl talking against them anyway? Isn't it just someone's opinion? Everybody has a freedom of choice.
Because, like most people, they just want to be normal and be viewed as normal. They want to be part of a mainstream religion and be accepted as just normal people within that larger group. Making a new religion isn't normal or mainstream, so that won't do. Homosexuals largely do not want to be viewed as a fringe in this way, and have their own special "lifestyle" and religion; most of them just want to be like average people, except gay.
In other words, they want to integrate with everyone else. This is because most gay people are more or less normal people, about as normal as heterosexuals and don't want to be viewed as "different" just because of their orientation. Making up a new religion would make their differences more obvious, not less.
But, yes, most of the main Western religions cannot condone homosexuality because it is viewed as a sin. This is why I urge people to stop being conformists and to stop caring about being "normal" and to toss out things that ultimately will not serve them, like a religion that does not want them.

It seems that there are a lot of similarities between Christianity and more ancient religions. Why?

It's going to be hard for me to write objectively about this, but I'll try.I've recently seen a documentary about the child witches in Nigeria. I think it's just about the most terrifying and horrendous thing I've ever seen. The diagnosis and labelling of a child as a witch is pretty simple.If...
