What is considered Demonic Posession?
I had a person ask me one day what I would consider demonic posession. I could only think of biblical answers but was curious where this topic was going? The person asking was wondering where good and bad ghosts came into play with haunting people, which led to how it is that a person could become posessed or haunted. I am curious to see if there are any other explanations than just from a biblical point of view.
Demonic possession is often the term used to describe the control over a human form by a demon. Descriptions of demonic possessions often include: erased memories or personalities, convulsions, “fits” and fainting as if one were dying.
Possession means total ownership, in the case of someone being totally possessed by a demon/bad spirit 1st they would've needed to by there own free will accept and agree with something wrong, dark or evil- such as being involved in the occult and casting spells or something else such as serving something that is false and out of error. Than again we have generational curses too, but we can ask God to forgive us along with our ancestors in Jesus name.
He who the son of God sets free is free indeed!
But God has given us a better way to deal with demons than the ways used by the Mental Health Professionals; and that way is to use the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The positve power of our Lord Jesus Christ is infinitely greater than the limited negative power of demons. So through Him, and Him alone, we can triumph totally over all demons.
Jesus cast out demons everywhere He went, and He gave us authority to do the same thing, in His name if we believe in Him. (Mark 16:17). In these "Deliverance From Demons" pages, I cast out various demons from the readers, in the name of Jesus.
Some people don't even know they have a demon problem until they hear about Jesus and become angry, growling, hissing and etc. It's is all to stop them from getting there freedom!
God's people perish because of the lack of knowledge!

Probably, but they'd all be wrong. All spiritual things come from the Bible. The problem is that Christian ministers avoid talking about them like the plague. There are no ghosts. The Bible is clear about that. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I've written about this subject, and I have several more in the works. Possession is from demons only.
There are (hysterical?) mental disorders that mimic the symptoms of possession. It is difficult to distinguish those from true possession, multiple personality disorder or social, possibly involuntary, role playing

Mental Illness VS Demonic possessionIn Jesus day, he expelled many devils from possessed people. Do we today, confuse demonic possession for certain forms of mental illness? I believe there is a difference, but... what would you say is the difference? How does one know the difference?

In a case of demonic possesion what is it that the possesor is trying to acheive, and why? Is the objective to have a romp in human form, to make people aware, to be a terrorist of sorts, or something else?
