What is the best way to get and stay organized? Paper planners (small or large) or electronic...

I am curious to know how other people get and stay organized. Do they use sticky notes? Do they use Microsoft Outlook? What about a spiral or three-ring paper and pencil planner? Do they just store everything in their heads? I am anxious to hear all of the different ways that people get organized! Blessings...

I use only a paper planner and occasionally to do lists - also on paper. Not on sticky notes (way too small), letter size paper instead.

I do my planning on paper whether it be a daily planner, calender, grocery list, or travel planner.  I like to page through and see everything right in front of me.  Planners also allow me to store other information such as maps or brochures for travel.  I wrote a hub on travel planners:

Doing some things electronically is a great way to save on paper and storage though.  I have done things like our budget and address book electronically but I make sure to keep a copy on an external flash drive in case of a computer failure.

I use Evernote.  I wrote a hub about keeping my class notes organized using this program:

    http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Use-Ever … lass-Notes

I use Evernote to keep track of class notes, recipes, to do lists, blog ideas, etc.  I use it every single day.

I also use Google Calendar which I sync with Calendar on my Macbook and iPhone.  I have reminders set so that my rent is never late and I never miss a due date or appointment.

Lastly, I still love to hand write to-do lists.  I can't help it.  I think it's probably my obsessive compulsive personality but I write out numerous to-do lists every day (writing and re-writing them).  You can tell how stressed out I am by how many to-do lists I pull out of my pockets at the end of the day.
