How can government help the unemployed get back into the job markets?
Should set up training centers to provide skills so that they earn themselves. Why should they slave rich people?
More than any other way...just get out of the way of business and give them a solid five year horizon in which to work...something predictable in terms of taxes and the effect of healthcare legislation. Obama's miserable failure in economic improvement is couched in the fact that he has ignored the needs of business to construct and implement a five year plan. Once that situation is bridged, then the job markets will open up again as businesses start to invest in growth and expansion. No business man with any brain is going to toss money into investment when the horizon is as unclear as it is today. We have now wasted two years on the concept that government can fix the job market....it's a fallacy, always has been, always will be. Government does not create jobs, it simple nurtures a set of factors which create a positive business market and business flourishes as a result. Take away that environment or coat it with uncertainly and things go the other way....WB
This is a question that has plenty of easy answers but no quick fixes. We need to maintain the ability to compete with other countries for goods and services while earning a paid wage that will also allow us to maintain freedom from government dependence upon social programs.
America has given way to producing most of our goods overseas or at the least, in foreign nations that don't purchase the goods we produce, in an equal share. This disparity alone has more money flowing out ... than in.
Greed rules economics rather than longevity. This is a sad but unfortunate truth. If more effort were made to achieve a sustainable balance in the cost of: vs cost for: equation and less on immediate profit margin our country wouldn't be as far behind in production. Until we can sell as much as we buy/spend ... nothing will change except to continue to deplete every social program set up to assist (not CURE) during times of need.
Anyway just a few short thoughts from me...
The government should not have to help the people. The churches and other religious groups should be out there pandering for new converts by helping their communities. Remember, the churches don't pay taxes, neither do their ministers.
Haven't you heard? We gave the rich a big tax break, what, you don't see those fabulous jobs they are all creating with that huge tax break? Funny thing, I don't see any either. OK Maybe they needed a Plan B since Plan A isn't working.
