To live life at fullest as if there is no tomorrow.....from my mother.
Some mothers are kissing mothers and some are scolding mothers, but it is love just the same, and most mothers kiss and scold together. ~Pearl S. Buck
I would have to say that the best lesson a woman has ever taught me is how to love a woman the way that she should be loved!
I have learned several lessons from women by their examples. I am who I am today because of my mother who has gone home to be with the Lord, but I still remember some of the things she said and did; especially, when I am faced with a tough decision. In speaking with others, I preference what I'm about to say by saying, "My mother used to say . . ."
How to seduce in name of love. This is the best lesson I always experience by woman.
My mom always told me, "Ask. The worst thing someone can do is say "No"." I have opened many doors with this simple piece of advice!
My husband's grandmother, who lived to 100, often told me, "If someone offers you something, take it. Even if you do not need it. The next time they have something, they may not ask you because you turned them down before." It is sound advice!
My mother - "Don't write a check that your behind can't cover." Good, solid advice.
How to accept someone whole-heartedly and how to shower love on him unconditionally. This is what my wife did to me.
I wasn't sure if I should have answered with "My mother..." or not, until I read the other responses.
I'd have to say I've learned how to treat others with respect, have a good work ethic and how to stay playful despite it all. A lesson from: my mother!
Lesson not from my mother: I'm still young and I have my whole life ahead of me so get back on the horse!
My mom (the most important woman in my life) taught me several very valuable life lessons in terms of personal development and acceptance. Three are not fit for mixed company, but one certainly is. She used to say to me all the time:
You can't miss if you don't swing."
This was usually in response to my fear of asking for something in case I would be told no. Her wisdom was that you can neither get a hit, nor can you miss, if you don't swing the bat. If you choose not to swing, absolutely nothing happens. If you choose to swing the bat, you've got a 50/50 shot that something great will take place. Maybe not a home run, just a single....but a hit nonetheless.
That relationships, are in the end, worth more than things. Women grasp the concept much earlier in life than men. There are of course, both men and women, who will spend a lifetime figuring this out, but, in general women know it long before men.
While I've learned a lot from my mother and female friends, the best advice I got was from someone I barely knew. Her advice was "direct your anger where it belongs, not onto others where it doesn't belong."
Now I have seen so many people directing anger in the wrong direction. It's sad really. It's even more sad when they are NEVER going to see the truth. If someone hurts you, then they are the pinpoint of your anger, not anyone else around.
My grandmother says if you always love you then you never have to worry about being loved. think about it. Self love is sometimes the hardest job for some.
"Say your prayers"....is what mom would say every night when we were off to bed.
My mother 1)Think for yourself, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t follow the herd blindly.
2)She taught me to have confidence in myself, including my appearance.
3)She taught me to be thankful, and to realize that money isn’t everything.
My mom told me that every little bit of anything I do is helpful.
The very solid lesson i have learn t through my dealings with women, is don't tell a woman how much you are worth. It may over attract or cause distraction.
...Mum used to say: "never rely on a man financially.. then you can leave when you want.."

Who Is a mother? What make a woman a real mother? There are enough women out there having kids but still are not mothers, they just have kids because they can and because they want to, others have kids because it comes from the heart...
