Views per day of my hubs decreased drastically. Why?

Views per day used to be 500-650 a day till about 10 days ago. Now for the past 10 days it's be in the region of 200-300. Why? and how to get it back?

Check the forums if you want to keep up to date with what's happening.  The Google algo change, which was introduced in Feb for Google.com, was rolled out to english speaking Googles, eg google.co.uk, google.ca, google.com.au etc. earlier this month.  Hence the drastic drop in traffic.

It just happens.  Hubs will have hot streaks and cold streaks.

My page views have increase substantially from 5 per day to 45 per day and still rising on the wave with Google new change for hubpages. It have benefited me to the maximum because I have 2 hubs that are of excellent quality content and because it is my 2 hubs have no where else to go except upward with no decrease of my views per day from this date forward of April 19, 2011A.D. It have been great with me being patient knowing that I have written 2 excellent hubs and 1 of my hubs which hubpages members can not see but everyone else can see through 100 percent referring sites which have spread it around the world in 8 countries. Excellent quality content is king for Google and hubpages with the proof of my hubs views having blasted off this month from 5 views per day to 45 per day and rapidly rising with no slowing down for my 2 hubs within 2 months.

Once Google's Panda update to their algorithm was implemented then it was down hill from there for many people on HubPages (and elsewhere).

They labeled us a "content farm".

It'll come back eventually.  It could take several months.

In the meantime, keep building backlinks and interlinking your related Hubs.  Try to aim for next Christmas.

it definitely has to do with the google algorythm. part of it you cannot change - all you can do is add higher quality content hubs so that google with give them more recognition, rank them higher  and hence bring you more traffic.

As others said there was an algorithm change.  Google rolled it out first in the US in February.  They just made the changes worldwide last week, so you're probably seeing backlash from it.

    How to get it back:
    1.  Write more articles.
    2.  Diversify your online writing.  If you only write here then check out some other sites, too.
    3.  Analyze your Google Analytics data to find out what IS bringing traffic and what dropped.
    4.  Make sure content is 100% unique and in one spot only.

A lot of people were impacted.  HP lost a lot of traffic, $$, etc.

I joined after the algorithm change but I have read a lot on the forums which said that the changes are due to google. You can try to taking some time to share your hubs with users on internet forums and on other relevant blogs to increase traffic. I read that this shouldn't be permanent, but it's probably better to try to secure alternate traffic sources. Try to share your RSS Feed and do some other things. After all that you can write a hub based on what you did and how well it worked.

Google did it's dance and shook up the virtual real estate. Just kep writing and that good content and all will take care of itself.

Well i wasn't here to experience the changes, but here is my thoughts on things.Everything has a season.Yup,that's right, everything has a season.I might be wrong, but maybe majority of your audience are not in the mood for the topic you are presenting now. They will be back when they want an update and then your views per day will be 1000-1200.It's like the annual cycle my friend;everyone has their seasons.Peace !!!
