   How can my apartment manager complain about me paying my rent in cash?
   
   Since when is cash not better than anything? I did get a receipt!  I just didn't want it to be later than it was and the bank was closed that day.  I felt compelled to get it in, ASAP! I basically shut that ridiculousness he was giving me down.  But I just wanted to get some other opinions.

   Some peopel just don't want to be bothered with having all that cash laying around. You paid your rent so really he can't do a thing!

   landlords don't like cash because it can be dangerous. if everyone paid in cash, they would be walking around with a lot of money on them. all it takes is for one tenant to set them up for a robbery and then they are out all that money and perhaps even lose their lives.

   If they are an apartment manager then they should accept any legitmate way that payment is given - whether it's cash, cheque or whatever. Maybe some of them are worried about carrying a lot of cash, but that's their problem that they have to deal with when doing the job. You're quite right to stick up for your rights.
