What are your perferences as a web designer? 4 facets of web design most webmasters argue about...

    1. Hand Coded HTML vs Dreamweaver?

    2. Tableless CSS layout or Using Tables as layouts?

    3. HTML 4 or HTML 5?

    4. Javascript or jQuery?

    5. PHP or .NET?

I have a hub on this, but I would love to hear people's preferences for web design.

    1. Hand Coded html!
    2. CSS3 for tableless, else CSS2 w/ few tables
    3. HTML 4. I think 5 is really a transitional MO.
    4. jquery -just smooth...
    5. PHP5.   .Net is over -especially with nearly 60% of development going iOS and web 2.0 for CMS like Joomla and even Square Space.

I prefer to code by hand, as I feel connected to the design itself. Code is my paint, and that white page my canvas. CSS is my medium over DW. I use Coda.

Dreamweaver is preferred by me than hand coding as it gives the same experience as editing in a word processor and a graphic designer simultaneously. HTML 5 is the technology of future anyway. So we need to move on to it.

Darn it. I spelled "Preferences" wrong. I am very glad this was not a question on using Spell Checks!!! It was an honest typo. LOL

Hand Coded HTML with Dreamweaver using Tableless CSS layout. I'm more comfortable in HTML4 but want to advance my HTML5. Javascript and Jquery may depends, I would love to check for jQuery "write less, do more" and last PHP. Hope this helps.
