If you could go back to your high school years, would you do things differently?

High school years are always full of every emotion possible. It is where you have your first love and your first heartbreak, you make your best friends and your enemies, it is where you experience all that you want to experience and others you wish you never did.
Although my high school years were hard years, I don't think I would change anything because having those good and bad experiences made me who I am today. I am a wife and mother of three beautiful girls.

Some things I would do the same, but other things I would do differently.  If i were in high schoo now, I would pay attention in class, do all of my homework, and strive to be a top-notch student.  As for personal goals after high school, I would be more active in seeking people like counselors and other people with careers to share their stories of being a teacher, a doctor, or an engineer.  I would try to be more cognizant of what I am able to do, and not kid myself by thinking I can be some member of a profession if I don't have the aptitude for it.  Socially, I would be more outgoing with people, especially girls.

In its Physical Reality, Life, can only move on Forwards ...

What you yearn ... or rather wish, is about having a second go at life, to mend, the "mistakes" you made as a high school going teenager ... or even as an adult, later in life.

Lets see this from another angle ... the Real angle ...
Under the stated circumstances, your longings would continue to remain longings ... misplaced emotions ... if you let the tide of Circumstances ... take you with its flow ... and you let it take you ... where ever it goes ...

Remember ... there is always time to mend the mistakes you ever made ... and you do not have to relive the life to mend ... you only need the "Intent" ... and thus, re-live the past life you long for ... This is possible at any point in your life or at any age.

I am 70 years old ... I still mend my ways when and where I can ... and I have done it, all my life and thus, lived a good life ... I do it by dumping, all the "garbage" of Yearnings and Circumstances ... I never yearn for what 'could have been' ... I am always concerned with ... what Is good in Life ...

I travel "Light" in Life ...

PS. If you miss the Prom Queen or some cheerleader ... there is not much, that can be done about that ... but do take another look at the Prom Queens and the Cheer leaders ... now  ... and you will know that its not only you ... but your whole generation ... is riding in the same boat ... you are.

I think I would try to be more confident in myself.  I would join clubs and try out more activites.  But overall, I felt lucky that my friends in High School were great and we had alot of fun.  I wouldn't change that one bit!  Good topic!
