Have hubpages devised a way to filter spun hubs?
Hubs which seem to have been to be spun from that in their database.
rajan, please clarify what you mean by "spun from that in their database". What database?
JamaGenee, its like making a hub from one which is already in the database of the hubpages. It's like moderating a hub which is very similar in writing and content to one on hubpages.
Rajan, Article spinning is very easy using synonyms from any dictionary database. Even rearanging sentences sometimes is hard for robotic software to detect it.
BTW: If you are on oDesk, you probably see very often offers like this one:

For 25 US dollars, noone will write 100 short articles URGENTLY. Everything is copy&pasted from Wikipedia and other sources and then spun with automatic software that does it.
The most effective means that HubPages currently has for detecting spun material are the site users (who flag Hubs for the moderators) and the moderation team (who reviews the content). However, given that Google announced that grammar, spelling and sentence structure are now all being considered in page ranking, it must be possible to detect the more crude forms of article spinning in an automated fashion.

I'm looking for a sentence or two that are obviously spun from an article spinner program. I've been told they are easy to pick out, but want a few solid examples please.

There are about 8 or so copied hubs symbols on my account this morning. Upon following one of the links I found my hub but it was spun. You can tell it's my hub but they used a software to change some of the words. How do file the DCMA for that? Can someone from staff help me please? Also, how the...

As I read and try to learn about the internet, I keep running across people talking about content spinners. Isn't the content that they create considered duplicate content? Or not? Does anyone use them for any other applications? Are there good applications for them? I'm curious on what everyone...

I found bastardized versions of 4 of my hubs at "The Healthy Food Tips".Two of the hubs I had unpublished (but not deleted) because of minimal traffic, with plans to re-post in a blogger blog. Those two had back stories of my family, which made it especially annoying to find them...
