   I'm I told old to read children Books??
   
   I find children fiction between the age 8-12 some of the most fascinating. I particularly enjoy Animorphs and more recently started reading the skulduggery pleasant series but was just wondering could I be too old to be reading children books??What's your oppinion on adults reading children's books?

   I don't think anyone is too old for children's books. It's important that people read. If that's what appeals to you, read away!

   No you're not, childrens books contain all the same themes as adult fiction but  without any explicit sexual content and the horror is slightly less gory, specific, and gratious.  My favourite childrens series is -The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper.

   I read all sorts of books, many are young adult and children's. I remember discovering Swallows and Amazons when i was a college. You are never to old to read them, especially if they are well written.

   No, you are not too old.  Those books you are enjoying so much were written by adults.  And reading those books will make you a wonderful children's book writer. 
   
   I love children's books especially the YA fiction.  The story is uncomplicated (generally)and there is no explicit sex which often in adult fiction gets in the way of the story.
   
   My mom used to read comic books when I was a kid.  She was a Superman fan and I was reading Nancy and Sluggo and Dennis the Menace.

   Children's books are very fun to read.  As a mom, I have really enjoyed reading various types of picture books and chapter books out loud to my kids.  The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a great series, and many other books that also provide values for the kids.  It's definately ot wrong to read children's books, especially if you enjoy the story line.

   Read what you like--your tastes in reading are neither "right" nor "wrong."  They are simply your tastes, and it's not up to anyone else to pass judgement upon those tastes, any more than it's anyone else's business to decide who gets to marry whom.

    You are never too old to read anything. I recently revisited my childhood by reading a few of the Encyclopedia Brown - Boy Detective books. My library also contains several of the Adrian Mole books, Swallows and Amazons and other assorted "kid's" books.
