   How do you not fight about money?
   
   You save, your spouse spends.. Any Ideas?

   I can think of 7 ways to NOT fight about money
   
   1- win a loto
   2- realize 90% of the households have the same situation
   3- hide the fact you save so that you simply "have" to dip into the others spending habits, just to survive.
   4- have LOTS more sex.... so much the other will be too tired to spend
   5- Tire the spending partner out with wild and carefree sex
   6- if the spend thrift partner agrees - have sex 3+ times a day
   7- if step one does not work - and step 2 does not make you feel any better... then repeat steps 3-7 as many times as needed

   Agree to discuss any big purchases beforehand, and not worry about the small stuff.

   That's pretty tough! In my own experience I got a divorce from my first wife. The way she spent money you would have thought it was against the law to have cash in the bank!
   Opposites may attract in the short run but it's like that attracts like in the long run. We have no control over anyone other than ourself. People change when and if THEY want to change. Unless you're someone like Bill Gates, you are never going to earn money faster than your mate can spend it. Most couples in this situation either end up going their separate ways phyiscally or emotionally and others stick around but create "Secret Squirrel Accounts" their mate knows nothing about. This money may be for their future nest egg. Awhile back I wrote a hub about how hidding money led to marital discourse for one couple.

   Another method is having "forced savings". This is money that automatically goes into a 401k or IRA account. You might increase the percentage. Having said all of the above you are most likely still going to resent having to be "the adult" while watching the child "play". Only you can decide if and when the overspending reaches "deal breaker" limits. Ideally it would be best to have the same financial goals in a marriage. Best of luck!
