   Why do some people go shopping only to take that item or items back soon after?
   
   I do it sometimes also, after having thought a little bit more about my finances, etc.  Curious what your experience or thoughts are on this?

   I return things most often when it's something I need to see in my home in order to decide. For example, a picture to go on a wall may have to go back if I get it home and it doesn't work in the room. I also sometimes do this with picture frames if I don't have the picture with me. I'll buy a couple that I like, bring them home and try the picture in each, then return the ones I don't like.

   Either Place B was cheaper than Place A or the item was returned in an attempt to socialize with an unacquainted employee, specifically flirting.

   I think members in my family are too lazy to return any purchased items! We have half a dozen plus shirts, which do not fit well. But it is still there. Nowadays i tell them to plan first and take their time while shopping! I find no problem at your end. Finance is something you need to take care of everytime while spending money.

   I do a lot of window shopping, sometimes I let my heart rule my head and buy. But reality always sets in after a day or 2  which means the item(s) have to go back. My greatest fear is going into debt.

   IVE SEEN PEOPLE USE BILL MONEY TO BUY AN OUTFIT TO GO OUT IN AND LEAVE THE PRICE TAG ON IT JUST TO RETURN IT BACK TO THE STORE THE NEXT DAY.

   Provided that the item is clothing, they may wish to try it on at home instead of at the store.  That way they can do it in the privacy of their home. 
   
   As far as anything else, they may wish to use the item for only one day and "free" beats renting it.

   They got confused in selecting the best one and to get rid of confusion they buy all the best ones.
