   It is definitely starting to head that way, esepcially in forms of data storage.  It makes it easier for groups of people to access files, and for a single person to access files from a multitude of locations. 
   
   We haven't got to the point where we are running applications off of the cloud, but I think we could get there.

   I think this is a good topic and gradually we will see a shift from physical to virtual storage (CLOUD) as more and more companies like Google offer their users GB's of free storage and offer companies a risk free, less cost storage and applications alternative to the  current costly methods.
   
   Just like the web and virtualisation this technology will also become very invasive over the course of this decade as the previous two did in the past decade or so.

   I’m afraid it is. Some situation though requires having paper trails on it, the old ways as they say it. Let’s admit it, in the medical settings, (http://www.mpaagroup.com/emr-charts/ )cloud computing take out a lot of “paper use” and somehow it is good for the environment and good for business too. Less paper less trash, more profits.
