As Al queda gave Muslims a bad name, why didn't the IRA give Catholics a bad name too?
Since 9/11 Muslims have been viewed with great suspicion, so why haven't all Irish Catholics been viewed the same way when the IRA was behaving at its worst?
I believe that the main reason is the IRA caused most of there problems in Ireland and sometimes Briton. Where as the Muslims carry there violence world wide. The US would of not gone into Iraq or Afghanistan if 911 had not happened. They had also been fighting with the British for many years .
Further to this..... let's say that the IRA, in Ireland and England, was reacting to what we might call "intrusion" on their turf. Al queda (Islam) is an OFFENSIVE effort seeking to EXPAND their reach....
The IRA doesn't fight for catholicism, they fight to kick the english of the Island of Ireland. Al-qaeda has a religious message, the IRA doesn't.
I believe if you talk to alot of Moderate muslims they will tell you that Al-Qaeda has nothing to do with the true meaning of Islam and the Quran.
Al-qaeda CLAIMS to fight for islam. The IRA never said anything about fighting for the pope.
Because all of the child molestation charges for the Catholic prists beat them to it.

It is quite obvious that Catholics do not follow many things in the Bible. They look at the Church as the one that sets all standards. Why is it so?
