Was Romney's bullying of a fellow high school student an assault or was it just a teenage prank?
The Washington Post reported eyewitness accounts of Governor Mitt Romney bullying a fellow student in high school. Romney responded to the article by saying that it was just a boys-will-be-boys prank. But today, wouldn't pinning down a gay kid and cutting his hair be considered an assault? See the article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ … story.html
I hear that in junior high he actually kissed a girl without first asking permission, too!!!!! Hang him!!!!
Why is it important that Romney cut another student's hair, when that hair was out of keeping with the rigorous standards of the school? You emphasized that Lauber is "gay". But, at that time, he was just an odd student who worked at the morgue and died his hair bleach blond.
I don't like Romney, btw.
But, here is the clincher: three homosexual members of Rev. Wright's church, who all had shared with other people that they had sex with Obama DIED in the lead-up to BHO running for POTUS.
Another man claims BO paid him for fellatio and drugs in a Limo, in Chicago.
Others claim BO was member to the "Down Lo" club, a discreet homosexual hook-up spot.
So, if sexual hang-ups are an issue, better get all the info.
So, grabbing someone and cutting their hair is not abuse, you'd say. Just keeping with tradition.
There have been a lot of lies told about the President.
and I think the issue with Romney is about assault which is a crime, as opposed to anything consensual.
Two totally different things, so bringing this up seems odd...
Catherine, you think the murder of homosexuals in Obama's church is not in the same ball park as cutting someone's hair?
Billy: nice Dem twist! My point is obvious: it was about "he can't do that" [hairstyle] not about being gay. Read the article.
Man, last I heard they weren't murdering anyone in Obama's church. Not sure where you're getting your info (Faux News?), but think they need to have their journalistic license revoked...
Once again, those are untruths that are being spread purely to
At least some of the others involved in the incident had enough courage to come forward, and more importantly later Apologize to the boy that they bullied!
Curiously, those guys are all Democrats. One of them active in campaigning.
Wow, paranoid. So only Republicans tell the truth?
M from M - I guess your saying that Democrats are more likely to do the right thing? It amazing me the things people are willing to defend.
Now the WAPO story is falling apart. The boy's sisters are harshly critical of the bad reporting and say the incident was not damaging, nor even important enough to be known. WAPO has a reputation for political hit pieces. It appears this is another.
Yeah, he actually enjoyed being forced to the ground and having his hair cut off. He felt so proud to have gain such attention from Romney and his preppie goon squad.
WAPO has already corrected a false claim of fact in its article without including any notice of the change, a blatant violation of journalistic ethics. The sisters say it's full of falsehoods. The man is dead, so he can't set the record straight.
Wow --now it comes out that those Dems that apologized to the boy are the liars.
If they were lying why did Romney answer to the accusation? Obviously there was some truth there. Just unfortunate the man involved had passed away.
Maybe Obie's lap dogs (the press) should actually have facts instead of "some truth there". Don't ya just hate it when your thunder turns into a little fart?
Journalistic hit pieces typically hinge on sources who can't confirm or deny their content. It's one of their hallmarks.
@Gusser, I like your approach. Avoid answering my statement, by asking a different question. Laughable at best!Again why did Romney just not say he didn't do it, instead he answered by saying boys will be boys.
Ask Romney --he said it. Why did you get suckered in to this made up story. OH thats right, it another of your books, Liberalism for dummies.
@gusser...lol another question. Perhaps you need to purchase a copy of "bigotry for dummies".
gusser, your man Romney admitted that he did it, so you claiming it's a conspiracy of some liberal media is kinda lame.
At least keep your misdirections straight.
Kane--he admitted no such thing. He admitted to pulling pranks, everyone did. He stated he recalled no such incidence. Libs are so gullible. Check your facts, I'm not a Romney guy. I've never voted RepubliCRAT.
I accidently deleted Clive Donegal's post. I'm sorry.... But yeah, Clive, folks seem to be saying that Bullying Is OK because someone else did it too. Or it's okay if someone breaks the standards. So, it's not assault? Would it have been assault if it happened to your child? I'm asking this because there's this strange idea that bullying involves gays. I'm also asking because so many people think it's OK, especially if you're the boss or have the power. Anyhow, thanks folks. I'm not a fan of Romney or Obama, but I don't get this issue of bullying. It seems to be sooooo American. In fact, wasn't George W. the Bullyier in Chief?! Folks liked that.
Show me someone who is critical of a 65-year-old man because of antics he pulled way back when he was only 17 years old and I will show you a fool.

Do you think Romney's outright lies strategy cost him his candidacy?Even his hometown didn't vote for him and I just don't understand why Republicans chose him when they disqualified him as a vice presidential candidate in the first place. While I was watching the 'Game Change' movie, I had the gut...

I thought Mrs. Romney was very artificial and stiff. The things she said about all the roles we women play were true, but more for our Mother's generation. She was discussing things like helping the kids write the book report while waiting for hubby to get home, when most Mom's work, something she...

From several exchanges, I learned why some people are voting for Romney. It is because Romney will launch a war against Iran. Generally, it is said that Muslims will attack the U.S. again. And that Iran will use nukes, maybe suitcase bombs. Muslim, socialist Obama won't stop it from happening.Now,...
