What are your experiences with guest blogging?
How often do you guest blog? Do people guest blog on your site? Would you recommend it to beginners? Where did you find the blogs you write for now?
For beginners, I think guest blogging and commenting is very important to get some exposure. As for guest blogging on your own blog, probably not in the beginning, but later, when you've gather some authority.
Guest blogging is a great way to get noticed, but only if you know what you are talking about and if the blog is populated with readers.
On the few blogs that I do operate (I mostly pay attention to my business website), I do sometimes allow guest bloggers to come on. However, I make sure they have something worthwhile to say. Since I expect this, I also expect the same of myself.
I would only recommend it for beginners if they know what they are talking about. If you guest post on a blog about SEO and say that spinning content and getting millions of low-quality links is great (which it isn't) then you are going to be ridiculed.
But, if you have some experience in your field and you just need some exposure, then it is great for getting clients or readers.
It's a great tool for bloggers who wish to work out with SEO, but more important, it's a way to get new readers. At first, I was interested in SEO stuff only when it came to guest posting, but later on I realized that by providing true value to readers of other blogs, I show them that I'm a serious deal, and after first professional and serious guest articles, I've noticed a great increase in traffic and and the number of active readers on my own website. I recommend it to everyone - both beginners and advanced bloggers!
I guest post at least twice a month, but if you can post a guest article once a week on a new blog, then it's definitely worth it. And I accept guest posts for my own blog, because it's beneficial for me, too - if others write for my blog, I can focus on writing for others .
Usually, I use Google to find new blogs, but I also scan the comments on my website to see if there are some fresh bloggers I can post with, and also I use my Facebook page to ask for guest post opportunities .

Recently, I've been trying to diversify how I drive traffic to my hubs; I think a healthy link profile and different kinds of promotion are a great idea as so that we're not *just* reliant on search engines, other hubbers or social media to entice visitors. One of the best ways I have found to do...

To everyone who is using the Disavowal Link Tool on Google and/or has had a loss of traffic, be sure to remove any articles you have on EzineArticles and any other article sites you may have used to post links to your HP subdomain or Hubs. These links are considered spam links by Google and...

Hi Guys!I was wondering what tactics some of you use to gain natural backlinks to your hubs. I've read about using Yahoo Answers and am trying to find article directories that offer more than just spammy or unnatural links. I know writers like to keep things close to the vest if they work well, but...
