    Self domain vs Blogger

Sometime, I feel it is very unfair. I have both self domain and blogger blog. Amazingly, my blogger seems to be earning more and ranking better than my self domain.

I am feeling a little unfair-ness here sad

Sorry, just stating my rant. What do you think? Do you experience such as well?

My self domain englishland.or.id performs much better than my blogger blog charlesroring.blogspot.com because it is a static website.

hi i dont have a personal blog anymore but when i have one i was with a good page rank in Google but that depends on a lot of things tray to get a SEO program like the add on for fire fox they can help you see the links that other people put to your site it will help your site grow and rank in the page rank very easy and try to put your site address and your post address in some forums our facebook for example to make publicity and to have direct link to your site i am sure that your site will appreciate tongue

I have experienced similar results, however I don't really have a fully functioning self domain. The blogger blogs are SOOO much easier to use, add content and market, that I spend most all of time with them--therefore they receive all the hits.

I know they say having a self domain is best, but I have nothing but good things to say about blogger. Perhaps if one or both of my blogs grow to enormous heights, I will consider paying someone to help me finesse my self domain. Until then, I'm a blogger fan.

I also have the same kind of experience.  My self domain does not get much attention from search engine than blogger blog does.  It has to do with SEO.  A self domain, if not properly optimized for search engines, can be idle.  Search engines love Blogger (especially Google) and content on Blogger is easily picked up.  Similarly, I love creating web pages or hubs with sites like Squidoo and Hubpages because they have high page rank.  My content / web pages automatically inherits the page rank of these sites and I get even more hits than blogger or self domain.
