   If Ron Paul's views are wrong, how come all of his predictions are correct?
   
   Many people disagree with Ron Paul's views, such as liberty, freedom, and the Constitution.  We are drifting away from the Republic our founders created.  Ron Paul still follows those ideas, he makes many predictions and almost all of them have come true.  How come Ron Paul's views are disregarded, yet his predictions become truth?

   I don't think it's so much that his views have been disregarded, but that they've been disregarded by the mass media.  The mass media, of course, is a source for instilling corporate agendas into the masses' brains, and political agendas go there as well.
   
   The powers-that-be clearly do not want someone who protects the Constitution, freedom, and the like to win.  And he cannot win.  Sorry to break it to you, but the system is rigged, the winner has long since been chosen, and we're not heading anywhere close to freedom or liberty: we're heading toward slavery and the New World Order.
   
   You can poo-poo this as the talk of a nutcase, but that doesn't mean it's not true or really happening.

      Oh the system for sure rigged. Despite all the differences between polical parties, news channels, media, and corporations, they all work together to keep the system together. A system of debt and slavery.

      If RP really had a chance of winning - he would have a plane 'accident' because not going to use the ATF again for assassination of a presidential hopeful as in 1992 of James "Bo" Gritz, (third-party presidential candidate).

   Sorry, but Ron Paul is not the Grand master Overlord Ruler of Liberty and Freedom.  Disagreeing with him does not mean disagreeing with Liberty and Freedom, it means you disagree with how he thinks we will accomplish it. Nor does it mean you disagree with the Constitution. The idea that the Constitution once existed in a pure and perfect state is a mythical belief. It has and always will be a living document that is dependent upon a free and open debate about its meaning and purpose.
   
   Personally, I think his ideas are ridiculous. I think he is living in some quaint imaginary utopia, where people were simple sheepherders and lived in tiny villages. The world is a massive, dynamic, and complicated place and it requires a sophisticated governance, not a village elder reading bones.
   
   He may be right that our government sucks. I tend to agree it is far too imperialistic and much too authoritarian, but it is a logical error to say Government X sucks, therefore all government sucks. It might make sense to reduce imperialistic tendencies. it doesn't make sense to withdraw into our shell and pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist. Maybe the government has too much power or the wrong kind of power, that doesn't mean it is impossible for the government to effectively provide services.
   
   Not all of his predictions have been correct. And the ones that have been were somewhat obvious weren't they?

      Freedom doesn't come by creating laws against it. We are losing freedom. Read the Patriot Act, NDAA, and many other bills that are slowly pulling apart our Bill of Rights.

      I agree. I don't support those bills or our wars, and I haven't nor will I ever vote for someone who did support them. I just don't think Paul is the solution. Government isn't working therefore get rid of it is, to me, a naive and simplistic answer.

      agreed junkseller. As for Patriot Act and NDAA this is one area where I have hope the people may be able to unite and compromise, because liberals and conservatives alike cringe at both of them - at least the ones I know!

      Our founders got rid of their government and created a super power.  Although Ron Paul doesn't want to end the government, he wants to follow the Constitution and limit government power.

   I will never, and I mean NEVER, understand the sway that Ron Paul holds over his followers. It took 482 attempts before any bill sponsored by Paul was actually signed into law. And of his more than 620 bills (as of late 2011), only 4 even made it to a vote on the floor of the US House. How can someone with such a futile record be so popular?

      The reason those bills didn't make it is because they would have helped the people, not the corporations.
