If you took a medication that had a side effect, would you continue to take it after the first day?
It depends on the side effect. I would research the side effects and get more information. Many side effects are harmless and dissipate after a few days. If the side effect is severe, check with your doctor. Some medications should be stopped abruptly.
Depends on the side effect. Many side effects improve or disappear with time, but certain side effects typically do not or are severe enough to warrant immediate cessation. You should always consult with your doctor when stopping a medication.
No ,never ,just stop taking it immediately and consult your doctor.
It depends on the side effect and what you are taking it for. If we are talking vitamins thats one thing, but if you are talking antipsychotics, hypertension meds, (in other words serious medical conditions) that were prescribed by a physician. You should never discontinue a medication on your own. You should call the doctor to see if there is something else you can take or an alternative course of treatment. Never take yourself off any meds, it is dangerous consult your physician first. Hope this helps.
I think I would, depending on the side effect. I know several people who take medications with obvious side effects and they often complain. However, the result of not continuing the medication is worse than the side effects.
If I had a side effect, I would research that particular drug, to see if it actually was the problem. Then I would look for a natural alternative, with very few side effects. I turn to natural medicine for my sicknesses. Holistic medicine is based on prevention, so at the first sign of impending illness, I start my regimen. I have encountered this situation in the past. And yes I did Quit taking a drug due to the side effects, found a natural alternative, and am duing very well. see my article http://artist101.hubpages.com/hub/menap … e-meltdown
