Dolphins - not only because they are cute but also they are friendly, intelligent, talented and able to perform several amusing tricks.

It must be the whale or the dolphin, and having read the other answers, I suppose the sea otter,
But cute?  I think cute is a rather childish way to describe an animal, not matter how attractive it might be.
try using a thesaurus and discover how many really applicable words there are in this great language of ours.
Baby rabbits are cute. Little chicks and ducklings are cute.

I find sea otters to be very intelligent. The females in particular are excellent mothers, caring for their pups a great deal for the first year and have even been observed caring for orphaned pups... I could go on a great deal more but I lack space.

Careful with all the cute talk... you might offend Twilight Lawns  ^_^ lol.  Aparently people need a more profound reason for having a favorite animal. Personally I think baby seals are SOO CUTE!!! Good choice ^_^

I agree, that "cute" is the appropriate word.  Cute is cute.. Dolphins look cute, so do seals, otters and many, many other animals.

You have nothing to be sorry for. You can say cutest all you want ^_^ I was simply joking around because I answered this question saying sea otters are cute and the hubber twilight lawns answered that cute wasn't a good way to describe an animal.
