Do all the campaign ads make it easier or harder for you to choose who you will vote for?
Mud slinging from both sides of the line seems about even. How do you decide? Has any one ad pushed you towards or against a certain candidate? Were yo prepared to vote one way and an ad you saw made you change your mind?
No, I ignore all the advertisements. They're just background noise. I admit, though, given their volume, frequency and wattage this year, that's growing harder to do. The political marketing pros are refining their ability to intrude.
I ignore them as well. I get the information I need from the candidate's websites. I also ignore what the candidate says about the other guy. If I want to know what Romney's position is, I go to his website...same goes for Obama. I also ignore the third party adds.
I try to ignore them also. After all, many of them are based on lies or at least stretch the truth to the max.
According to a post on Wikipedia about campaign advertising, "While there has been progress in regulating campaign finance, very little has been done in the way of regulating political advertising content. Candidates can and will display messages in their advertisements that come very close to propaganda. The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 addressed the issue of "soft moneyā€¯ or money contributed through political action committees, it raised the legal limits of hard money that could be raised for any candidate, and set limits on what funds could be spent on election broadcasts, but it did nothing to challenge the lack of truth in political campaign advertising. As of this time, there is no pending legislation addressing this issue."
In other words, people can say what they want and there is very little that anyone can do about it. So, no the ads won't change my mind.
Harder, because even if I liked someone before, seeing the way their people attack the other guy just makes me sick.

Is it ok for the Obama campaign to send Biden to Tampa next week? The local law enforcement will already be working overtime. As usual this unprecedented disrespect in politics will fail to meet its dirty objective. Has anyone ever heard of a VP going to an opposing convention? No doubt supporters...

Do you care? This would be the first time in modern American history that a candidate for President hasn't released his tax returns. Is this a big deal or not? If it is a big deal, what do you think Donald Trump is afraid the American people will see?

Turns out that Romney showed the press a partial tax statement for 2010. It was discovered thereafter that a significan section of his tax form is missing. That part, by law, tells what the overseas investments do. For example, does Romney's company in the Cayman Island hold controllling stock in a...
