    If you were to research hubs on water supply, what topics would you be most interested in?

    I want to write about California's water supply system, but there's so much information available, I hardly know where to start. Please help.

    I'd probably start at the source of the water.  So where does the water come from.  Is it damned water that is fed by a few different water systems, or is it water from the sea or boar, tableland water (river systems etc under the land).  I'd be interested in knowing about the filtration systems what php level is required to make the water drinkable.  Are any chemicals added to the water such as fluoride.  Is there  infrastructure in place that allows one water organisation to purchase water from another in times where the source supply of the first provider is limited (in times such as draughts)..  Another area that you could explore is the service delivery.  How does that work. Who controls it? Is it privatised or government run? If the sale of water is privatised, is there a governing body that regulates the industry and investigates complaints?  What metres are used for calculating how much water has been used per business / household.

    Since there are so many different areas that you could research, you do have the choice of making this topic into multiple hubs or alternatively if you want to write about something specific. ask yourself what do you want your reader to learn; what is the purpose of your hub?

      Thanks for replying, Tinsky. So of all the things you suggested, which two are you most interested in knowing, yourself?

    I'd be interested in knowing;
    1. where different regions get their water supply.
    2. what water treatment facilities they have.
    3.what kind of problems they have faced with making sure they have enough water.
    4. whether they've had any problems with contamination of their water supply
    5. which areas have taken precautions to protect their water supplies from terrism attacks or threats.
