   What would you be willing to go to prison for?
   
   Standing up for your beliefs in a protest? Rescuing animals? Pushing an ill-doer over and there happens to be a spike there? Stealing food to feed your starving family? Taking the blame so that some one you love could get away with whatever they were doing?

   I would be willing to do just about anything to protect my family.  That would include going to prison.  That doesn't mean that I would protect them from the consequences of their actions.  I believe that would hurt them in the long run. 
   
   However if someone was to come after a member of my family, I would have to do whatever it takes to make sure they are safe.  My family has to come first.

   I completely agree with answer above. If anyone went after a family member or very close friend and harmed them in anyway,  I would feel the need to protect them and do what needed to be done. I am a very kind person but attacking people in anyway that I love would not end up well. So hopefully that will never happen.

   Revenge ! ,  I swear some peoples lives are just too valuable for a system that  fails proper  punishment for crime any longer ,  Our touchy feely society is no longer in possesion of a stomach for proper  punishment ! The legal system in America , hell the free world is soo infested with maggot defense  lawyers and liberal judges ! But I dont want to rant !

   Nothing. I somewhat agree with ahorseback. But that leads me to a different conclusion. If anything our justice system leans toward lenience. I don't think I would do an act consciously that would put me in prison. If protecting another is justified -- that is what the law will call it. I would not do wrong to protect my family, that would not be protecting them from the worst harm.
   Of course I say this after in fact being in jail in 3 countries, but I was much older then I am wiser than that now.
   Revenge and vengeance will result in imprisonment -- at the very least a prison of you mind.

   many things. friends and family, violence against weaker people etc. prison means little to me other then i would miss seeing my family. that in itself makes me catch myself when i know that someone needs a good beating.i would also go to prison if it meant standing up for my country.

   Tax evasion would be a good start.  Considering about 70% of what the gov't takes in is completely wasted through inneficiency, I wouldn't feel an ounce of guilt.  Since they already attempt to keep more of what I make than I do in total, if I didn't have a family to care for I'd probably push the envelope alot further.

    Protecting the ones I hold dear. Stealing is out of the question since there are other legal options out there like planting crops and so on.

    For me, I would be willing to go to prison for my beliefs, stealing if my family was starving, killing in defense (especially of my family) and countless other reasons. This makes me sound like I'm some sociopath, haha.

    Well, it would not be "willing" to prison, but how could one not protect ones own family.  However, anything done illegal, aside from devastation and disaster--their on their own. 
    
    Would I take from a store during a disaster to help others survive, you bet I would.
