Does tagging only work if the word is actually in your hub?
im assuming its not just enough to put a keyword in the tagging source but it also has to be in your hub to workd as well?
The tag must be relevant and an honest reflection of the contents of the hub, but does not have to be in the hub. I often use common misspellings in the tags, so people who misspelled the keyword can find my hub, but I don't want to include misspellings in the actual hub itself.
Doesn't google automatically correct these days? You know, the "Did you mean ..."?
cheers mate and thats a great tip as well, you seem to beliving up to your name haha:)
while your here gimme some tips on how best to make cash from my hubs
I just want to second what MT said about putting misspellings into tags, especially compound words and alternate usage such as potluck and pot luck.
I seem to recall back in about '99 business.com sold for many millions of dollars. And low and behold busines.com only sold for about 900 thousand.
Interesting huh. There is a battle going on right now about fecebook - go figure.

I hear the phrase, "mature a hub," a lot. What actually happens when a hub matures? I know people say that after a hub has matured (around six months) it starts to do much better. But what actually happens when a hub matures? Thanks!

Who hasn't quite got a grasp on it yet?Be honest, and mention it in this thread, and I'll look through some hubs and choose one from a few different hubbers and I and 2 other specifically selected hubbers will look, comment and make suggestions on what keywords to target and how best to tag the...

Do you research for keywords each time you plan to publish a hub?
