Why do I still have the symbol for violations on my hub after editing?

I am really frustrated because three of my old hubs all came up with violations for malware or phishing sites. I took out the links identified by the system. However, the warnings remained for a bit. Eventually, two of them cleared up, but the third is still giving me trouble. I removed the link and then I could not hit "done editing" because of the error. I went so far as to remove every link in the hub, which was over 15 and pictures. But alas, I still have the red skull next to this one one hub. What can I do?

HubPages has been plagued with so many glitches here of late. I'm sure that's what it is. It will probably disappear within 24 hours.

I sure hope so. All the links are gone, so there should not be any violations. But it has been 24 hours since the changes.

    Chill out.

You can do the "check for violations" thingo again, and it should go away if you have fixed whatever the issue was.

Patience is not always my virtue. But this about three days now. Hopefully with all the links totally gone since yesterday the system will pick up on these changes.

I think jThomp is right Stephanie.  It is probably a glitch...people are having trouble making selections on hubs, posting comments, even loading pictures.  I hope that is what's wrong with yours.  It is a shame you felt you had to delete over 15 links and pictures!  I wish you luck with this one.  If it doesn't work out, contact HP staff, they are very  understanding and helpful.

Thanks tillsontitan. When things didn't clear up after the 3 days, I tried again with a manual check violations now. The check came back clean. Then about half an hour later or so yesterday the symbol was finally gone!
