I never get any comments on my hubs so I have no idea what people think of their content. My latest is "Run for your life." But I would love to hear criticism on any of them. Thank you!!

People will not likely to find you if you don't reach out to them. You yourself have to comment on the hubs of others to get acquaintances. Your hubs are worth reading, just make sure people know they're there.

I wish I had more to add to help you but Pacal's advice was "spot-on". I had the same issue and I can attest that community response was fantastic. The responses helped me improve hubs that I thought were "good". Your hubs aren't bad either, but you will be surprised at the increased quality, and traffic you will achieve. Internal traffic CAN translate to external traffic. And, your comment got me to visit your hubs, and I doubt I would have searched your topics otherwise.

I just read your last one. I wouldn't worry too much about comments. I don't get many comments on mine either but I do get quite a bit of traffic. Your last one was well written. However at the end I felt as if all I could say was awesome job. Maybe writing about more open subjects or controversial topics would help with getting comments.

Thank you pageantgirl31413! I was beginning to think I just wasn't doing something right. smile Actually this is the first time I've gone into a forum so maybe getting out of myself a bit more might help. Thank you for your comments!

It is easy to forget to come into the forums and participate. Just as it is easy to get sucked into them. Moderation is the key and keep writing. You are doing a great job.

If you tweet, I hear that is good for getting traffic. Share it is available and so easy to use. I just did all four of my hubs to my blog and bulletins on my myspace account. I also put up a widget on my personal website blog page.

I am too new here to know how much of this will work, but I do know that when I had the widget up for Helium on my personal blog it garnered a lot of traffic for me.

    Good luck to you.

Thanks for the thumbs up lynnechandler. There's alot I'm still learning about like what the heck a widget is and how to benefit from it. smile But I'm getting there. Looking forward to reading your hubs.

I think part of your question you answered in your Hub, "run for your life". "the easier it got to jog without feeling like I needed oxygen, the easier it was to delve deep enough to release the negative situations".The more you ran the better you felt. The same goes for your Hubbing, the more you hub and the more you participate in Hubpages, the better you'll be and feel. Writing, like running is very cathartic.
I  know it's been said here, but I don't get a lot of comments either. I never know if someone took to the kitchen and made a dish I Hubbed about. I just know that it is worth it to me to share them and in the process get better at hubbing. I made it a goal and am sticking to it!
Now if I could start jogging I would be really happy, and you my dear helped in that endeavor by sharing yourself.
Give yourself time too, and think, every time you get a hit you may have inspired someone, maybe not to comment, but you touched someone none the less.
    So Enjoy,
    J

Thank you so much jestone! I'm sorry I'm just getting back to checking for replies .... but it doesn't mean I appreciate your comments any less. Being inspirational is definitely my goal and if I've done that then my writing is right where it should be. Thank you again!
