. Could I write reviews on hp

So I am still fairly new on hubpages and was just wondering what kind of topics are acceptable on hubpages. Could I write reviews and stuff  like that.

You can.... but be careful.  The greatest danger in doing so is that the hub will be considered "too promotional".

Of course you can...however, as Windygreen has said, your hub may be at risk of being too promotional. I have done a review of AGV helmets myself and it all worked out well.

I write reviews of CDs, movies, and books all the time and have never been hit with the dreaded "overly promotional" tag so I say go for it.

About windygreen said..How can a product review be too promotional? I believe product reviews are not meant to sell but inform. There won't be any problem given you know what a product review truly is. Welcome in hubpages and good luck!

I guess the promotional nature of a review would be determined by the opinion of the reviewer.  If you loved a product or service and can't think of a con  - It could be considered too promotional.

Yes, you may. Keep in mind that there's a difference between reviewing a product and trying to sell it or promote it.

I agree, your best bet is to go with a "the good, the bad, and the ugly" type of outline or format it as an informational writing with no opinions.

One of my best performing hubs is a review. The only time I had a problem with the "overly promotional" thing was when I put a link to a website selling the product. Amazon links seem to be fine. Good luck, I look forward to reading your reviews.

Hi guys thank you so much for all your answers. @ Fatfreddy I see what you mean and you have very interesting movie choices got me hooked on your articles. I suppose I will have to write both the negatives and positives- and it will be okay. Again thanks guys for your answers.
