David Wright. He has fought injuries along the way to have some superb, then some above-average seasons.

I sure hope it's Miguel Cabrera since I have him on my fantasy team.

Triple Crown and MVP last season, 44 HR, 139 RBIs, .330 average are some sweet numbers. He has a .318 lifetime average. He is in his prime, 29 to be 30 in April, and if there is a better hitter in baseball, I don't know who that is. There are probably a couple players, like McCutcheon and Trout, who are better all-around, but not when it comes to hitting.

Cabrera had a season for the ages last year and has been raking ever since he's been in the league.

By career batting average, right now it is Albert Pujols age 33, at a 325..  Second is Joe Mauer age 29, at a 323..  Third is Ichiro Suzuki age 39, at a 322..  However, Miguel Cabrera age 29, might be the best hitter in the game right now.  He's no slouch with a career 318. batting average anyway.

It will be real interesting to see what kind of start Pujols gets off to this season after doing so poorly to begin last year. All these guys he has around him like Trout, Hamilton, and Trumbo should help if he doesn't chase bad pitches.

You're probably right about that.  He really needs to get off to a good start if he wants to stay in the argument of the best hitter right now.

Pujols has fallen off the last 2 seasons, but up until then he was best.
