When you update a hub why does it's status remain the same?
I recently updated a hub because it was ranked "not enough readers", however, after I updated it the rank remained the same. Isn't it given a chance before it is again ranked not enough readers? I'm a bit confused in the process. Why update a hub if it isn't going to change?
Good question and good point there dearest Mary. I had two hubs unfeatured, which were poems, and then I updated them and now are featured. Anyway, I noticed that in lieu of editing them under the unfeatured status, I unpublished them to have time to edit them, and once I was ready to publish them again, I noticed they had a lot of views. Last night one had over 200 views within an hour after publishing it again. I have not seen that "not enough readers", and it would make a lot of sense to allow time for there to be enough readers. Sorry to ramble on . . . in other words, when I tried to edit under the unfeatured status, nothing changed until I, myself, actually unpublished it and then republished it. I know, I am not making much sense here. I would love to know the answer too.
You are making a lot of sense! Maybe that is the best way to handle unfeatured hubs! Unpulish, edit, then republish. You may be on to something.
It seems someone wrote on another answer or forum that when you unpublish, you lose any backlinks the hub had to date. I don't know if this is correct or not. Maybe someone can clarify that possibility.
It takes time for the algorithm to catch up with what's out there. Give it some time.
Also, how much did you change? If you made a significant change, your chances of getting more engagement are higher. If you made small, subtle changes, they may not have been enough.
I thought I made significant changes so maybe you're right...patience is not one of my virtues
a very good question ..i find the processes of publishing and unpublishing to satisfy the leaders is tedious. there are some processes that involve older hubs that need to be changed.
Thanks cleaner, I'm baffled too, obviously.
Depends what you changed after editing; maybe your editing was not good enough to change its ranks... but i suggest you should try again, maybe after necessary keyword research

My hub that seems most popular with over 52,000 reads is at the bottom of my hubs with a 69 and it has been 70's so I sharpened it up some just to have it fall. How can this be? I hate to delete it but I think that is what many would do who cannot get a hub to rise in score. Actually I had over 100...

Some people say you should never, ever delete a hub...only edit it and such. What makes you just completely trash your own hubs?

I just logged into my account and noticed that I have close to 30 hubs that are unfeatured due to engagement? Why did this happen all of a sudden? Is there anything I can do to make them featured again?

Very disappointing indeed but, can you guys here suggest some tips in improving hits? I don't want to spam my facebook...

Lately I have noticed how most of my articles that have been there for a long time, are being marked as not featured. And even after trying to "fix" them they are placed in the same stage over and over again. Considering the kind of "pay" we get for our effort, it seems kind of...
