When searching for a niche keyword, how many global or local monthly searches is your minimum?
At what point is a niche too small to bother with writing a hub for it?
I look for +10K in monthly searches and seems to be working for me
That is a really good question, and since you write about your dogs a lot it is really important. Dog articles are not searched as much as some, and I do not think there is anything wrong with choosing a keyword that only has a few thousand.
The "strong dog names" article you published a few weeks ago will only be searched about 2400 times per month, but if you get half of them, wouldn´t that be okay? I have a dog article that is searched about 5500 times per month, and I get 5000 page views per month for that hub (not all from Google, I am sure). Som of my dog name hubs get 500 per month, so nothing flashy, but even that is okay.
I actually wrote one recently for a keyword that only has a few hundred per month. (Five Dog Breeds From Latin America). I was just in the mood to write about dogs from my area. Every once in a while I think it is fine to ignore the keyword number!
Funny that you mentioned the "Strong Dog Name " Article. Title tuner suggested I change it to "Cool Dog Names," so I did that. I am interested to see what impact it will have on the article.
The title tuner is okay after an article has been published about six months, and has been searched for a lot. After a week or two? You should ask others w a lot of experience, but I think it is worthless.
For a minimum I use 1300. I also look at EXACT phrasing search numbers. I will use 500 for EXACT phrases as my minimum. I use Hub Groups for many articles so even if an article is a dud traffic-wise, it still may attract users to more popular articles.

Global Monthly Searches vs. Estimated Daily ClicksIf a certain general keyword has no competition (in the google keyword tool, next to global monthly searches), global monthly searches are around 50 000 searches, but estimated daily clicks are...1 (???) - does that mean no profit from the topic?

I joined hubpages one month ago and started writing hubs on weekends because I am very busy on working days. I have published 12-13 hubs right now and they are featured (12 of them while the 13th is still under review). Though my score on each hub is above 50 but I am seeing no traffic coming on my...

In the Google keyword tool, what is the maximum and minimum monthly searches I should aim for?I know that picking low ranking key words are better, but what is too low a keyword rank? For example 1 keyword I am looking at has a global monthly search of 500, would you write a hub with that, or...

Perhaps i have not been able to put a proper question, but i think i am just lacking the right words to make you understand. In order to get traffic, we need to do keyword search on keyword planner, however i just wanted to know that what amount of "exact" average monthly searches is...

On Google Keyword Tool (only keyword tool I've ever used): I understand that competition for that word you're looking for should be low, so that you aren't vying for the top search results with that word; but I don't totally understand what you should look for in terms of global searches for that...
