Why is my race important?
I just don't get it. What's the big deal? It is irrelevant. So why do so many make it such a big deal?
Your race isn't important to me, but the size of your heart is.
I can't say that this has ever been an issue for me. Do you mean that people ASK you what your ethnic extraction is? Or just ask if you are black, hispanic, oriental, Native American or Caucasion?.....just out of the blue, as a matter of conversation?
This seems rather strange to me. I can't imagine your "race" being a matter of serious importance to anyone for any reason.
Actually peeples, if someone came out and boldly asked me what my "race," is.....I'd tell them I can do the 1-mile dash like a PRO!...............
Yes for some reason in the last month I have been asked my random people. It seems odd, however now that I think about it, it started after dying my hair.
Do they say which race they think you are because there is no mistaking someones race most of the time. Ethnicity, yes, but race is pretty straight recognizable most of the time. I mean, it is hard not to see you are a Caucasian, or am I wrong?
You are correct but saying Hispanic, instead of Caucasian makes more sense when most people interpret Caucasian as "white". I was assuming when you asked Caucasian, you meant "white" like most do.
You didn't die your skin too, did you? I can't imagine any random person asking such a question. I have a granddaughter whose father is Greek - she's been asked if she's black or Mexican at various times.
Your race, or ethnicity is yours and yours alone - makes no difference to most people, but there are some ????
What do you say when they ask you? Make up some wild explanation, and have some fun with it.
personally i dont get it either. seems like no matter the worldview, we all essentially come from the same place. race in my mind is nothing more than what piece of dirt a persons immediate or somewhat immediate family member was born on. i dont see what it has to do with thought process, personality or anything else really. i know this isnt an answer really. i just get frustrated with race.
Race has never been important. We should see all people from the human perspective rather than where they hail from. Mankind seems to prefer other humans to other species when it comes to matters of existence. We ought to respect other species too, because we found these living creatures on earth and there is nothing we can do about this fact. The fact that a snail is on earth gives it the right to exist on earth, not to mention human beings.
However, the most important creature on earth is "man". God wants us to know this. This is why he made man in His own spiritual image. All humans have red blood in their veins. Racism has always been a vain argument which draws fuel from less intelligent beings. Sneer at it and move on.
The closer you get to God, the more your race fades. Colors and other tones are only skin deep.

I know the revelation I'm about to share with you will be vehemently rejected, controversial and outright offensive. So, please, let me prepare you by saying that, if you accepted God, believe in God and acknowledge his Son Jesus then hold on to your faith in all purity, to the very end.For the...

God said, "I will put enmity between thy seed and her seed. Thy shall bruise his heel and she shall bruise thy head."Many believers thought this prophecy was talking about Cain and his offspring, against Eve' offspring but that's contradictory in nature. Cain is also of Eve's offspring...

Racism is the trendy charge these days. I believe it is over-used and frequently misapplied.I know that racism applies to race and not ethnicity, but that hasn't stopped many from applying the racism charge, so I include it here also. Many of the accusations I see should have been accusations of...

President Obama believes that children receive disparate discipline based upon their racial origin. President Obama maintains that Hispanic and Black children are inordinately disciplined for offenses which Caucasian children are not. President Obama feels that the educational system is...
