    Anxiety or Depression

Hi there. I was just wondering if you could give me some input on some very serious concerns related to my health. I am usually a motivated person but lately I've been feeling very irritable, When I have a good idea in my head it feels as if my mind just shuts down the idea and all creativity and I go into this mode of stupidity and carelessness. Could this possibly be related to a serious mental problem. Usually I have to wait for a moment to do stuff cause I feel so out of it most of the time. I go to bed fine and just relaps this shitty attitude and personality. Can you please help me?

I do not have a background in health or mental health issues, but as one who suffers from depression, that is what it sounds like.

Your best bet is to see your doctor and tell him exactly what you have written here. Don't don't continue to suffer from something that can be treated.  Best of luck to you.

Thank you! I had some more questions but you probably don't have time. I've tried prozac and became alert but my drug use illiminated the effect. Last time I tried treatment I didn't improve on concentration..

Don't get discouraged if one anti-depressant doesn't work. There are a lot of various brands out there. Keep going back to your doctor and try new treatments.

Sleep early, wake up early. That would solve half your problems.

Train your mind to be happy. Joy or happiness has to be re-learned due to the constant bombardment of negative thoughts and feelings. Kids laugh and play because nothing is serious. As adults, people have problems and take everything too serious. Then depression comes when they can't find solutions to their problems. So the focus should be on fun and enjoyment. No one can be filled with joy and be depressed at the same time.

Sometimes its hard when you can't even make your face look happy..I think this is called the flat affect due to a serious illness..not sure.

I am not a psychologist, but I do have some education in psychology. It does sound like you may have depression with possible anxiety. Yes, you can have both depression and anxiety. Signs and symptoms: Lack of motivation, loss of interest in past activities, isolation (not wanting to be around anyone, or go outside.) Lack of concentration, sadness (crying without knowing why), Hopelessness, sleeping too much, neglecting hygiene and yes irritability. It's best to ask a health professional about treatment options if your situation does not improve.

I'd suggest watching Eckhart Tolles vids on the ego mind buddy, all on utube & explains a lot about why we think like we do....Also watch as many Joe Rogan Podcasts as you can, there also on utube....Joe Rogan's the most inspiring/cool/funny guy there is on the net, & he will inspire you....When i feel like you do i get back to basics, & live the way of Zen.....Get on top of all your basics in life, & then go from there....Also write stuff down that's bothering you, & start eliminating those things out of your life....Doing all this will help you focus your mind more productively, & you won't know where your going with it, but you will know your going in the right direction.

Create a time of the day that you can right down concerns worries and extra. Let that be negative time to think the rest of the day create positive thoughts. May not be a serious mental problem I have anxiety disorder and with that your are anxious and unsure and at times do not feel safe. You may just be going through typical adult depression everyone does at some point. Just try to be positive it can be hard but I find creating a time to worry helps me remain positive.

I hope its not a mental disorder. My cousin was a looney bird when she was 13!!! She thought dead people were in her house and going to hurt her. I think she has schizophrenia & takes meds. My head moves and shakes by itself when I don't want it
