   Does anyone believe in Quantum Theory?
   
   I think it is so interesting when I was reading and talking about it with some people.  If you had to explain what it means in a simple basic answer what would you say?

   Niels Bohr: Those who are not shocked when they come across Quantum Theory could not possibly have understood it.

   The issue is NOT whether people believe in Quantum Theory. Belief is a personal opinion. The issue is that Quantum Mechanics is an IRRATIONAL theory. Quantum only offers irrational explanations for physical phenomena. Physics is supposed to be rational.
   
   The Particle Hypothesis is dead. Discrete particles have no way of explaining any phenomenon in nature. There are no discrete particles in the Universe

      Totally agree with you. It is an irrational theory because there are too many contradicting theories circling around. Particle theory has proved to be a dead end. Universe is far too vast and beyond our comprehension.

      Man has the intelligence to understand ANYTHING! We can only understand rational explanations. An explanation which cannot even be imagined or visualized is known as an irrational explanation.

   You're right about belief is a personal opinion. Thanks for your interesting answer. I saw the movie recently called transcendence and it had a little bit of this in it.

   Quantum Theory is something that cannot be explained in a few sentences Most of it involves hypothesis covering different topics that are not fully understood by humans. Black holes, chaos theory, uncertainty principle - each of these are a complete mystery to mankind and they all come under certain sub-categories of quantum mechanics. I personally find all these topics fascinating, but they will remain theories until proven right.

      @billgaede You are absolutely right. If the mathematicians or scientists had discovered anything on this, Quantum Theory would no longer be a called a theory.

      A theory is an explanation. In Science, we only have rational explanations. If all that Quantum Theory has to offer are irrational explanations, then Quantum is not a part of Science. It should be taught in churches and we should close down CERN.
