This morning I had 879 total views and now I have 872 how in 9 hours have I lost 7 total views?
It's on a rolling 24 hours, so it will go up and down based on the last 24 hours only.
Wrylilt, thank you but total views? That would go down? I understand daily views on a hub changing and even weekly and monthly but total views would go down?
Ah, total views? That's weird but stats do change sometimes. Trust Google Analytics as it's more accurate.
As mentioned by WryLilt it is rolling 24 hours it will go up and down depending on the people who have visited it. In case of continuous traffic it will fluctuate faster. For your case a simple example will be as below.
1 day as per the view calculation is the last 24 hours. So if someone viewed your hub now that is at current time and no one else did after that then for twenty four hours it will reflect in the 1 day column. By default it will be already a part of 7 day column.
After 24 hours is over the 1 day column will reflect 0 as in the past twenty fours hours no one else has visited your hub. It is as simple as that. The 7 day, 14 day column will already have it added up. So you will see no change there until 7 multiplied by 24 hours has passed by.
I hope the answer makes sense.

Why is it that the total (ever) goes up as (1 day) goes downJust wondering why the ever views go up and as the daily views go down. Also, why is it you start a hub and the score starts at 50 and as you are writing it goes to 49 or 48?

I posted this yesterday, and spoke to a staff member, but now I've noticed HUGE drops.Over the past couple hours, I had close to 8,000 total 24 hour views, that has now dropped to just over 6,000.Seriously, why show 8,000 if it is going to drop to 6,000? Surely each unique visitor is accounted for...

We had this same problem a couple of weeks ago and it was resolved. Same problem again today though, so I'm reporting it. (If we don't report problems, how can we expect them to be fixed?)1 day stats are abnormally low, so I checked the stats on an individual hub. The 'day' stat there is...

I've lost the 6 or 7 featured snippets I had in the past for articles on Turbofuture, Owlcation and Dengarden. This tutorial has dropped from 2000 views per day last February to 1000 per day this year. There's not much more I can add to it. Maybe it's just all the ads pulling the rank...

I usually check my daily views, and, I noticed that I went from 245 views over 7 days on one of my hubs down to 200. Almost every one of my hubs have dropped in total views. Is there a reason why this would happen? It's not the first time.

First a disclaimer is in order.I broke the evergreen rule with this approach. I knew it going in and did it anyway. What the hell, sometimes rules are made to be broken. Sometimes a gamble pays off, often it doesn't. I do live in Las Vegas though so it is in my blood! Hubs should be on evergreen...
