What is your thoughts on abortion?
I am a strong believer in equality. That goes for life as well.
If a child is aborted at 12 weeks because he/she isn't wanted and it is OK.
Then why is it considered murder if someone causes the loss of a 12 week child that is wanted?
To each his own.
I personally believe that abortion is wrong. And from my christian perspective it should not be done. God is the giver of life, he makes every little hands and feet. It is murder any which way we put it. It clearly states thou shalt not kill, that is one of God's commandments.
My thoughts exactly. I am against the murder of a child who never asked to be here to begin with. It is morally wrong and goes against everything life is about.
Abortion.
That certainly is a "sanitary" sounding term. Just like "pro choice" and "woman's health rights" liberals are usually averse to saying exactly what anything they are for actually is.
In this case let's call a spade a spade, "abortion," "choice," "women's rights" are actually all sanitized descriptives for murder, the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another and no manipulation of the English language will ever change that nor justify it.

The vast majority of abortions are performed for solely reasons of convenience, ninety-two percent cited what might be termed "social" or "other" reasons, rather than medical reasons or sexual assault, as the primary basis for their abortions.Frivolity is the rule.

Abortion (in the vast majority of cases) is nothing but legalized murder (if adolescents were educated as to the truth that abortion is murder, that in this country the only reason they are even alive is that their mother didn't legally "choose" to abort them they would think differently about sex).
The sad thing is there are better solutions to unwanted pregnancies than abortion. The solution is to make it (what it really is) unattractive. This can be done and would be done if those who say they are pro-choice but don't recommend abortion really meant it. Eventually society could, if they really wanted to, reduce the numbers of abortions dramatically enough to put pressure on stopping the barbaric practice of abortion by making alternatives more attractive, more doable and more accessible. There are alternatives to abortion namely measures that prevent unwanted pregnancies to start. These include just for example:
Voluntary (and mandatory in some cases) tubal ligation for females who don't want a baby and vasectomy for men who don't. Free sterilization (and mandatory in some cases) for anyone who chooses to give an unwanted baby up for adoption. The government could enroll the help of private sector charities and hospitals to this end and I'm sure the massive government waste could be cut and funds directed to this end.
The point is we don't need a law to end abortion, we need a desire and resolve by society to end it by making it the least favorable choice... so you might say I am pro choice. I'm for you choosing anything that is directed to avoid murdering your child.
Well versed and thought out. I agree with a lot you said.

What's your take on why it is OK for a woman to abort a child because it is her body and she can do with it as she likes, but it is not ok to not wear a seat belt for the same reason? I think it is because insurance companies lobby for seat belt laws while pro-abortionists lobby for pro-abortion...

Is abortion about women’s right or is it about the right to life?I get so mixed up in that debate, it would seem that the right to life outweighs any right of personal choice, but many see it much different. What is your opinion about abortion? What supersedes what? Do men have a right to a choice...

Do you believe in your opinion that in the topic of abortion, the US Government should regulate the procedure or should it be a left to the discretion of the individuals involved? (Please keep it civil and clean guys.)

Is it possible for pro-life and pro-choice people to find any common ground? Too often, the argument becomes fixated on the morality and legality of abortion, which are both worthwhile topics. But in the end, I think that almost all Americans would like to reduce the number of abortions. So why...
