How do people justify keeping a TEN year old boy in ADULT jail?
Here is the link. http://www.wspa.com/story/27609851/boy- … er-beating Long story short, he killed someone, the family isn't comfortable him being home, and the closest child jail is 80 miles away. He is kept away from general population for the most part, but Why not just move the kid 80 miles to the youth jail? Why in the world would he have ever been put in an adult jail to begin with at TEN?
This is a travesty. I worked at a juvenile detention center in Southwest Virginia. We accepted kids from all over the state. As far as Fairfax county. There is no reason they cannot transport this child to the juvenile detention center only 80 miles away. Our kids came from hundreds of miles away if a bed was not available.
it is unfair. He should be out in juvenile home instead, not the jail because he is till underage
Well, although we toot our horns that this is the "freest nation in the world", we have the largest number of citizens imprisoned in the world and the highest number of prisoners per capita (sort of embarrassing when we're always pointing our fingers at so-called totalitarian states). Literally just under 4% of the entire US adult population is currently either imprisoned or on parole. So it stands to reason that this sort of thing is bound to happen sooner or later in a police society like ours.

Why do people sign up to the army? What could they justify killing people with? Why would anyone want to kill other people? Unless of course they actually believe that there are people out there who deserve to die? How can they be sure that the people they kill deserve to die?

How does free will explain or justify the existence of evil? Many Christians have told me that evil is a necessary byproduct of having free will. This doesn't seem to be true to me, given the following thoughts:1. If free will exists in heaven, and evil does not, it is possible to have free...
