    The Right Legal Drinking Age

As you know, the legal drinking age is different in countries all over the world, in the USA its 21, in most provinces in Canada its 19, in a lot of the tropical areas its 18, and its varies around the entire globe, what do you think the right legal drinking age should be? is 21 too old, is 18 too young? What about countries that don't have a legal drinking age?

honestly i think it's 18 as there is a concept that 18 is the age of maturity but we should not drink that much... smile

No age is a Right Legal Drinking Age. Alcohol is a drug that kills, however; it is legal in countries as Governments collect taxes from this legalized drug!

The right legal drinking age depends on how the young adults are going to behave. Are they going to start drinking before they are legally old enough? Are they learning how to drive while they are learning how to drink responsibly? Are they more likely to get into trouble if the drinking age is 19 than they would be if it was 21.

In the United States the drinking age was raised to 21 because too many young drivers were drinking and driving. In Canada they recently changed the driving rules for young drivers to reduce the number of car accidents involving alcohol. They changed driving laws instead of the drinking age. It worked really well.

19 is a good drinking age for Canadians but lowering the drinking age to 19 in the United States would cause problems unless they changed some of their other laws. 21 is not too old, 18 is probably too young. I know a lot of people think 21 is too old. They want to drink at 18, 17 or 16 but lots of people die because of alcohol.

The right legal drinking age would be when the person is going to drink responsibly.
