   What is the greatest threat to the world today? Is it nuclear arms or cyber attacks?
   
   There has been much debate about the nuclear arms talks with Iran and what may or may not happen. However, shouldn't we be equally, if not more, concerned about cyber attacks from militant groups all over the world going after our infrastructures, banks and military installations?

   I think the greatest threat to the world today are the groups & individuals destroying the ecosystem. While we are all distracted by petty politics, wars, and other social issues, they will continue to destroy. We forget that we are part of that system and that it is delicate. I think that us destroying some system or what have you causes a domino effect destroying other things until we cause some sort of mass extinction. Earth, and some kind of life will survive and live on. We aren't at risk of destroying Earth, but we can certainly decimate our little world though.

      That is an excellent point of view. Hydraulic fracturing is a good example as the gas and oil companies keep drilling, polluting, and causing earthquakes. I often say you can't eat, drink, bathe, cook or irrigate crops in $100.00 bills.

   Do you see that star way up there? Once it was and now it is not. A puzzle at times. Unfortunately when it became a 'not' it exploded into parts and one of those parts now a meteor is on its way toward earth. Since the star we are looking at is not there now while we see its reminisce of light finally reaching our planet I kinda' think it will be awhile before that meteor moving much less slower than the speed of light will get here.
   
   Regarding the nuclear arms question I really have no response as I am simply not knowledgeable enough to do so. However, I trust and have faith in our world system and our governmental system today for the U.S. that the suggested threat is being handled (dealt) with in a responsible manner.
   
   Cyber attacks personally affect me more since I really, really have to ponder whether to open an email and click on a link. That seems to be more relevant with my self. Don't you just hate threats at the personal level with identity theft lurking near? Causes me to ponder when I read my emails . . .

      I tend to agree regarding the threat of cyber attacks. Just today I got a notice from a friend that they were hacked by someone in Russia. It is a technologically frightening world we live in today.

      Agreed Dennis. On Dr. Oz yesterday they had a gentleman explaining the ins and outs of mysterious emails, links, and much more including false readers used to sneak attack an ATM transaction. I was informed. That is why that comes to mind first.

   I believe that the greatest threat to today's world is God coming down on it with His wrath.
   
   Such man-made calamities as nuclear wars and widespread cyber attacks pale in comparison to such things as massive fires that come from out of the blue and the simultaneous eruptions of thousands of surface and underwater volcanos.

      Perhaps the wrath of the earth will be manmade climate change/global warming, ravaging the earth of its natural resources, killing animals into extinction, polluting our land, air and water, and poisoning our food with chemicals. That isn't God.
