Do you like the idea of a Car that could drive itself?
Should these cars be made,to have control over operating with a computer's brain and decision making?
I not only like the idea I LOVE the idea. The prediction is 2017 for Google I believe and 2018 for Nissan to follow.
I dream of a hover car - just like the Jetsons - imagine the pavement we could save not to mention the construction.
In 2011, Google announced new products but was secretive and only stated that Sergey Brin was working on the new products.
In 2012, Governor Brown passed legislation to authorize this new type of transportation.
If highways demanded less maintenance - if insurance companies had fewer claims, what would the world look like?
I Guesse there are benefits but with the dependability of computers and how things always seem to mess up, I do not want it in control of my car. Just the computer that runs our vehicles now, causes alot of issues. I like the concept.but, not sure Of
I do like the idea. One of my personal pet peeves is getting lost while in a car, and it never helps the situation when other drivers make me angry. If all cars drove themselves, it could eliminate road rage, traffic accidents, and road kill. Not to mention give us more time to do other things. Imagine an overstressed work force suddenly having time to take a nap or read a book.
It's hard to say how far out the technology is, though. Being able to account for all the variable in traffic would require an expensive combination of sensors with a computer brain to process it all. With google's advances, it might seem like it's right around the corner. But for me it hasn't stepped out of the 'science fiction' realm just yet.
I am surprised at how many people are for the idea, but I am not a tech person and I think I have fear of technology In a way.

Why do people's personalities change when they're driving a car?Is it a power thing, being in control of a vehicle? Dissociation from the other person, being separated by glass and metal?Seems to me, that people behave badly toward each other on the road, when it wouldn't happen if they were...

My 12 year old recently went on a camping trip with some of his dads friends. While on this 'camping' trip the following happened. The old ladys grand-daughter was 'upset' so the woman gave her car keys to my son and told him to take her grand-daughter for a drive. He said it was only...

Why do people drive very close to the car in front of them? DO you do that? why?It drives me mad when I have someone very close to me... I find it really dangerous, and normally I tend to break and start driving really slow whenever I have one of those "stickers" behind me. Do you do...
